Delay Windows Vista Product Activation
Microsoft requires that Windows Vista owners activate their copy with a valid product activation key within 30 days. Failure to do so would cause the operating system to enter into a "reduced functionality" mode.
However, there's a workaround using a registry key called SkipRearm, that was created for IT departments and OEMs to delay Windows Vista's 30-day product activation time-limit indefinitely:

Specifies that the computer will be rearmed, restoring the computer to the original, out-of-box state. All activation-related licensing and registry data is removed or reset, and any grace period timers are also reset. This is the default value.

Makes us wonder if software pirates would take advantage of this feature to indefinitely use unactivated copies of Windows Vista ;)
