The new XDA Zinc (a.k.a. ASUSTek Mars II) is O2's first 3G Pocket PC phone with a sliding QWERTY keyboard. The device is powered by a 520MHz Intel Xscale processor, has 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM for storage (expandable via miniSD), and runs Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition.
Connectivity-wise, the XDA Zinc sports Bluetooth, infra-red, a mini-USB port, 802.11g wifi, triband GSM and 3G. The device is also bundled with loads of software, ranging from automatic configuration utilities to messaging (i.e. O2 Message Plus email, SMS, MMS and RSS reader application) and Mobimate's popular Worldmate software.
The XDA Zinc has 2 cameras - a 2 megapixel camera with strobe flash at the back, and a secondary camera infront for video calls. The device weighs 175g and has a rated standby of 220 hours and talktime of 5 hours.
